To prevent the theft of bronze sewer covers, IDAAN will acquire a first batch of 250 plastic covers, announced today on TVN Channel 2, Federico Rodríguez, head of Drinking Water of the National Institute of Aqueducts and Sewers. Rodriguez explained that initially, IDAAN was going to acquire a thousand plastic plastic caps, but he preferred to buy 250 to try them. The supplier company ensures that the plastic caps are resistant to heat and weight of 12 tons, and has even suggested to IDAAN to install them in the places of more traffic.
Five plastic lids have been installed so far and the experience has been good, the official said. Rodriguez said that it is also planned to acquire plastic meters, but with another company.
