This Saturday the National Institute of Aqueducts and Sewerage Systems (IDAAN), will initiate the program of installation of the new covers of recycled plastics in the sanitary sewer and aqueducts network. The first covers will be placed in the premises of the Machetazo de La Cuchilla de Calidonia.
In total, the program includes the installation of 250 caps made of recycled plastic, in the places where the metal ones have been stolen or are in poor condition.
The covers manufactured by the Mexican company SITMA, are composed of 39 kilos of plastic garbage, which is equivalent to the garbage made by 20 families in a month in Mexico.
